Hello, my name is Ciara, and I'd like to share a small part of my story with you.

More than 35 years ago, when I was 32 years old, life presented me with one of the greatest challenges I have ever faced. Sadly, my husband passed away from cancer, leaving me to raise my six-year-old twin sons, Cillian and Liam, on my own.

I wanted to give them the best life possible, and I realised I needed to find a way to combine my passion with the ability to support my family. That's when I decided to open Ciara Kenmare, in the heart of Kenmare, Ireland.

My dream was never simply to open a clothing shop, but to create a place where every customer felt special, where every item was carefully selected with love, and where every shopping experience reflected care, warmth and personal attention.

Over the years, my shop became so much more than a business. It became my sanctuary, my second home, and a way of connecting with so many wonderful people. I have seen generations of customers walk through my doors for the first time and return again and again over the years. I've shared stories, smiles, style advice, and even some of life's most important moments with them.

Every detail of my boutique, from the carefully chosen fabrics to the window displays, reflected my passion and my love for what I do.

Today, after dedicating a lifetime to this passion, the time has come for me to retire. I am looking forward to new experiences, travelling, enjoying peaceful afternoons and, above all, spending more time with my family and friends.
